Festive Fun here at the Beacon Centre!
With Christmas approaching, we are thrilled to announce a fantastic programme of activities and events for the whole community to enjoy. The festive fun commences with the arrival of Santa and his trusty elves on Saturday 24th November. A visit to Santa, who will be in his grotto on selected dates* until 22 December, costs just £1 per child and includes a small gift as part of the visit. All proceeds from the Grotto will be donated to the North Shields Fishermen’s’ Mission, ensuring that all funds raised go directly back into the community.
Throughout December, local schools and community groups, including Waterville and Christ Church Primary Schools, the Fisherman’s Mission Choir, and The Salvation Army, will be spreading Christmas cheer by performing a variety of festive songs and carols for all to enjoy.
The 8th & 9th December sees the return of the wonderful Victorian Christmas Market in Northumberland Square. To add to the festivities, within the Centre children can meet Santa and a host of festive characters, make a mini Christmas gift to take home, as well as have their face painted.
In addition to the many seasonal offers available from stores, we will also be giving away a host of prizes in the run up to Christmas through a number of competitions on Facebook, so be sure to check out our facebook page.
